Spending too much time responding to student writing? Dissatisfied with the quality of student work? Through the design of their writing assignments, teachers can save time and improve the chances for student success. We will review sample writing prompts from different disciplines and discuss how students might respond to them. Workshop participants are invited to bring current writing assignments to discuss or revise during the session. Facilitators: Bryan Kopp, Virginia Crank, and Darci Thoune
Instructors interested in seeking Writing Emphasis certification—as well as those already teaching Writing Emphasis and Writing-in-the-Major courses—are encouraged to attend one or both sessions.
